Tuesday 21st April English and Geography Learning
Good Morning everyone!
Today’s Pobble365 is very interesting and I am already looking forward to your answers to the questions. There are also some sick, boring sentences that need improving, use powerful language to make them more exciting.
I would also like you to look at this website:

Year 3 April 21st Geography Lesson
It is a lesson on using maps which is our Summer Term Geography topic.
This website is a good place for us to start.
After you watch the clips on BBC bitesize daily, see if you can draw a map of your local area, perhaps a map of how to get from your house to the shop, park or Malorees. Try and do it by yourself and then show it to a grown up and see how you did. They may be able to help you improve it!
Have fun mapping!
Monday 20th April English learning
Welcome back everyone, I hope you had some fun and rest over the two week holiday.
We are going to continue using Pobble365 this week. Here is Monday’s picture:
Have a go at answering the questions on the webpage
https://www.pobble365.com/watery-world
also the sentence challenge, where you have to add more information to sentences using brackets. Send them to me using the j2e webby pages as you were taught.
There is also a fun picture challenge where you can design your own perfect underwater home.
This week we are preparing to change from j2e to Google classroom. Once done, we can talk to one another face to face!
For this week though, check into j2e everyday, use the Summer Term tab and click on News for 3H.
Later this week, I will be sharing some Science work and also some fun work on our new topic of Geography.
Stay in touch here on on class dojo, happy learning everyone!
The school bell has rung! Easter Holidays!
Hello wonderful families.. Well done for reaching the end of the (homeschooling) term! Have the much deserved and needed rest, spending time with your loved ones!
I have set some addition and subtraction revision on Mathletics for the Easter holidays due Sunday the 19th of April, a few tasks over the two weeks.
I have also scheduled another two times table test on Mathletics, both for the 2,4,3,5 and 10 times tables. (2,5 and 10 are year two targets- 3 and 4 are revision.) These tests will stop those who know them from going rusty and those who don’t an opportunity to catch up.
Friday 10th – test 1
Friday 17th – test 2
Even though it’s the Easter break, I will be online and around each day for anybody who may have some questions.
Thank you for caring so much and dedicating teaching time at home. I know it isn’t easy and I really appreciate your support through everything. You are all doing a great job. Please remember when it gets frustrating and over whelming, just take a break. That’s all part of learning too.
Enjoy the holidays together, inside safely.
Ms Chentouf
Year 3 message as we embark on our school holiday!
Dear All,
Firstly a big thank you for all your hard work over the last two weeks. It has been wonderful to see your work and to hear your audio messages.
While you are on holiday, keep reading and practising your Maths skills! Get outside as often as you can and enjoy playing with your family.
If you are stuck for something to do, there are lots of ideas in the black space bar at the top of the j2e webby page, marked Holiday activities. Try some of them if you can!
Stay safe and healthy and we should be able to see one another face to face early next term through the wonders of google classroom. We will explain that in more detail after the holiday.
I wish you all a very Happy Easter, best wishes from Ms Heath!
Friday 3rd April English and RE Learning
Good Morning All … it’s our last day of learning and then we all get a two week holiday and time for a rest and relax. Today there is a Pobble365 to do, please answer the questions and then have a go at extending the story.
It would be wonderful if you illustrate the story with a spectacular picture of a dragon.
This afternoon as part of your RE learning, you could have a look on Espresso at the 3 videos about Easter, then there is a quiz in the Activities section.
https://central.espresso.co.uk/espresso/primary_uk/subject/module/frontscreen/item1028383/grade2/index.html?source=subject-RE-KS2-RE-Resource%20types
Even if you don’t celebrate Easter, you may have taken part in an Easter Egg hunt, or know what one is. This holiday why not plan an Easter hunt around your house or garden. You have to plan a surprise at the end of the hunt, and make tricky clues to lead to the surprise. You could plan it with a brother or sister, and the surprise could be for a parent, or you could plan it all by yourself. Have fun!
During the holidays, keep reading, you can write stories, you can write a diary about how you are feeling, remember no-one has ever been in this situation before and when you grow up, you might want to look back and remember what it felt like to be going to school in your own house !
There is a j2e button at the top of the bar on the webby page full of Holiday Activities for you to try if you are bored. I especially like the never ending book activity, I really hope one of you has a go at making one!

Maths- RE and PE: Thursday April 2nd
Good Morning superstar learners! Happy Thursday!
This morning you will find your maths work (shapes) on Mathletics, you have till Friday to complete this so complete some today and the rest tomorrow. Also a gentle reminder that you have your Timetables test (3,4 and 8) tomorrow, all day- anytime before 4pm.
As for RE and PE (because it’s Thursday ) Your homework is to talk to your family, discuss your religion and way of life. If you do not follow a religion, discuss your family values and unique traditions and celebrations. What are your proud differences that should be respected? What are your similarities with others to celebrate? Please share the fruits of your conversation allowing us all to respect and celebrate with you.
Once you are done, create a family dance (PE)… Check out this family dance for inspiration!

Feel free to share your family dance too… Smile, have fun and then revise your times tables 🙂
