I agree that they probably have a packed lunch, but perhaps the teacher cooks them a meal in their school? I would love to see their classroom.
I am not sure that it is Ireland, however, Ireland has the same climate as ours, perhaps Iceland as it is much colder there.
It could even be in the Mongolian mountains which is even colder.
