So we all now know what a perimeter is and how to measure the perimeter of a shape. If you don’t catch up watching this video at the end of this post… Today I would like you to work through this ‘perimeter check list’.
If you do not have a ruler, then use an object you know its length or use an object and then create a unit of measure for it. e.g a book; the perimeter of the table was 21 book .
Perimeter Checklist
- Draw 6 polygon shapes and measure their perimeter.
- Make up and draw your own shape, then measure its perimeter.
- Measure the perimeter of your table.
- Measure the perimeter of your room.
- Measure the perimeter of your favourite thing.
- Measure the perimeter of the book you are reading.
- Draw an outline of your feet, then measure its perimeter. How did you decide to do it?
- Measure the perimeter of ………. (Surprise us)
Record your findings to a post, add pictures and videos if you can and send in your post by 3pm today. Get investigating and good luck!
